Afterschool Enrichment Program for
Special Needs & Adaptive Learners (K–12)

Our Afterschool Enrichment Program is designed specifically for children and teens with special needs and adaptive learning needs in grades K–12. We provide a safe, structured, and inclusive environment where every student is encouraged to grow, explore, and succeed at their own pace.

Who We Serve

We welcome students with a wide range of abilities and support needs, including (but not limited to):

  • Autism spectrum
  • Intellectual and developmental disabilities
  • Learning differences (such as dyslexia, ADHD)
  • Physical and sensory challenges
  • Social-emotional and behavioral support needs

Our staff works closely with families, schools, and related service providers to understand each student’s strengths, interests, and goals.
Program Focus & Activities

Our daily schedule blends academic support, life skills, and social/recreational activities, such as:

  • Homework help and academic reinforcement
  • Social skills groups and peer interaction
  • Communication and self-advocacy practice
  • Arts, music, and creative expression
  • Adaptive sports and movement activities
  • STEM and hands-on learning projects
  • Independent living and daily life skills (as appropriate by age)

Activities are adapted and individualized so every student can participate meaningfully and feel successful.
Supportive, Trained Staff

  • Experienced professionals and support staff trained in special education and adaptive programming
  • Low student-to-staff ratios for individualized attention
  • Positive behavior supports and trauma-informed practices
  • Collaboration with families to support goals from IEPs and therapy plans

Our program is structured, predictable, and sensory-aware:

  • Clearly defined routines and visual supports
  • Quiet spaces and sensory breaks as needed
  • Secure facilities with attentive supervision at all times

Schedule & Enrollment

  • For students in grades K–12
  • Operates on school days after dismissal (with options for early release days where available)
  • Flexible enrollment options (2–5 days per week, depending on availability)

Family Partnership
We believe families are essential partners in each student’s success. We communicate regularly with parents and caregivers to share progress, celebrate achievements, and adjust supports as needed.
